Grey’s Anatomy Fans Devastated After Shocking Death In Season Premiere

Spoilers below

Grey’s Anatomy is back and ready to break our hearts all over again. Well we can’t say the show didn’t warn us. We’ve lost many main characters over the course of Meredith Grey’s lifetime including her husband, husband’s best friend, her half sister, so we can’t say we’re surprised  that another character had to go in the series Spring premiere.

The episode begins in a dramatic sequence of scenes involving three elevators stuck throughout the hospital. One with Meredith and DeLuca, one with Owen, Teddy and Amelia and another with Bailey intern Taryn.

Cece, a character introduced to us last season, is waiting in the OR with Maggie. Inconveniently the kidney’s she is waiting on are in the elevator with Bailey. Over the course of the episode we get an almost kiss from Meredith and DeLuca (ugh), Teddy tells Owen and Amelia that she is 16 weeks along in her pregnancy (jeez) and Bailey is still feeling anxiety over her husband Warren’s new job as a firefighter.

In the end unfortunately Cece did not make it to get her transplant. The character has grown to mean a lot to every character. She helped Meredith start dating again, gave Maggie advice on Avery and more. She’s helped so many and was such a huge part of this season that many fans of the show were not happy about the outcome.

Meredith talking to Cece as we find out she has passed was really what got all our tears going.

"I nearly kissed the Italian one...I may kiss the other one, too, because I mean, look at him. I don't know if I'll ever find love again. But, I'm happier than I've been in a long time. I'm having fun. And when I do, I hear your voice. Thank you, Cece."

Cece had to bring Meredith back to life before she could pass and she did that. THANK YOU CECE!!
